OBIT FINK, GILES JOHNSTON, JR.

FINK, Giles Johnston, Jr., 75, of Roanoke, died Friday, January 29, 1993 in a Roanoke hospital. He was a retired partner of Brown-Edwards & Company and was a member of South Roanoke United Methodist Church. He was a member of Concord Masonic Lodge #48 in Athens, W.Va., the Scottish Rite, Kazim Temple, the Hidden Valley Country Club, the Businessmen's Club and served as a captain in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Johnson Fink. Surviving are his wife, Lucille Harris Fink; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ben J. Fink and Barbara Fink, Giles A. Fink and Karen Fink; three stepsons and their wives, H. Wilson Nash, Jr., and Iva Nash, David R. Nash and Patricia Nash, William A. Nash and Clara Nash; sister, Harriet Fink Cope; grandchildren, Andrew Fink, Katherine Fink, Marcus Fink, Blair Nash, Tyler Nash, Wilson Nash, Anne Harris Nash and Julia Nash. Funeral services will be conducted at South Roanoke United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. James Hain. A private burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park Monday. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to South Roanoke United Methodist Church or to a favorite charity. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
