OBIT-CHILMAN, WALTER A. JR.

CHILMAN, Walter A. Jr., 66, of Roanoke County, died Sunday, January 31, 1993, at the VA Medical Center in Salem. He was retired from N. C. R. and a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert F. Chilman. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Kennett Chilman; son, William C. Chilman, daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Sammy Brown; two beloved grandchildren, Jennifer L. Chilman and Shannon L. Brown; one special daughter-in-law, Debra H. Chilman, all of Roanoke County; one sister, Anna C. Wilbourne of Roanoke; one brother, George W. Chilman, Roanoke County. Funeral service will be held at Oakey's South Chapel 3 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Rolen C. Bailey and the Rev. Woodrow W. Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oakey's South Chapel.
