RESERVATIONS TAKEN TO USE CAMPGROUNDS
Reservations for state park cabins can be made starting Feb. 10, with campground reservations starting Feb. 16.The reservations can be made by calling (804) 490-3939 during business hours or by mail by sending the payment and reservation form to Ticketmaster, P.O. Box 62346, Virginia Beach 23466.
Payment for phone reservations must be made by MasterCard or VISA; and, by mail, with a money order or certified check. There is an $8 fee for phone reservations and a $6 fee for those made in person at the Department of Conservation and Recreation office in Richmond.
Cabins can be reserved for a week during the summer, and campsites nightly up to 14 days in any 30-day period.
For Western Virginia parks, reservations can be made in person at each park once they open.
Douthat State Park at Clifton Forge will begin taking reservations March 19, telephone 862-7200; Hungry Mother at Marion, 783-3422, on April 26; Claytor Lake at Dublin, 674-5492, and Fairy Stone at Stuart, 930-2424, on April 30; and Grayson Highlands at Mouth of Wilson, 579-7092, Natural Tunnel at Duffield, 940-2674, and Smith Mountain Lake at Huddleston, 297-6066, all on May 21. - Southwest bureau
