KIRBY NAMED BACK OF YEAR IN SOUTHEAST BY TOUCHDOWN CLUB

Virginia running back Terry Kirby has been named Southeast offensive back of the year by the Touchdown Club of Atlanta.

Kirby led the ACC in rushing with 1,130 yards in eight games and had 28 receptions as a senior.

The group also recognized East Carolina's Tom Scott as its offensive lineman of the year, Alabama's Eric Curry as its defensive lineman of the year and Louisville's Ray Buchanan as its defensive back of the year. - Staff report
