MAN HOSPITALIZED WITH GUNSHOT WOUNDS

An Appomattox man was in very serious condition Monday night at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after being shot at least twice.

Larnza Culpepper, 30, was found lying in the street in the 500 block of Eighth Street Southwest when police responded around 5:30 p.m., Lt. Ron Carlisle said. He had been shot in the buttock and back of the thigh with a small-caliber gun.

Culpepper was incoherent and was unable to provide any details to officers about how the shooting occurred. No arrests had been made Monday night.
