COAL COMPANY GIVES $11,000 TO COLLEGE PLAN

Consolidation Coal Co. has given $11,000 to Southwest Virginia Community College's first capital campaign toward construction of the Center for Health and Community Development on campus.

The gift will also provide funds for student scholarships. It is part of a $30,000 commitment from the company to the college's campaign. - Southwest bureau
