REPORTED EARNINGS

Blockbuster Entertainment Corp., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based video rental chain with outlets in the Roanoke Valley, reported 1992 net income up 52 percent to $142 million, or 77 cents per share, from $93.7 million, or 56 cents in 1991. Revenue was $1.2 billion, up 38 percent from $868 million.

For the fourth quarter, net income rose 55 percent to $45.1 million, or 23 cents per share, from $29 million, or 17 cents, a year earlier. Revenue for last year's quarter was $398.2 million, 58 percent over year-earlier $251.4 million.
