2 GIRLS WRESTLE IN IOWA DUAL MEET

Davenport Central's Atina Bibbs' 15-4 victory over Lisbon's Stacy Light was decisive, hard-fought, a little bloody - and historic.

The 112-pounders met in a dual meet in what is believed to be the first time two girls have wrestled against each other in state high school history. The Iowa High School Athletic Association, which oversees the sport, doesn't know if two girls have ever wrestled each other because the organization doesn't keep track of such information, said Dave Harty, the IHSAA's assistant executive secretary. - Associated Press
