OBIT MITCHELL, JESSE GILBERT

MITCHELL, Jesse Gilbert, 60, of Blue Ridge, died Monday, February 1, 1993 in a local hospital. He attended Colonial Baptist Church, was an employed of Semco Manufacturing Company, was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Mitchell was a member of Vinton Lodge #204 A.F. & A.M. and Mountain Dale Lodge #49 I.O.O.F. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Saville Mitchell; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan G. Mitchell and wife Cynthia, Roanoke; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Roger Ayers Jr., Roanoke; four sisters, Nellie Peggans, Moneta, Fannie Meeks, Roanoke, Lizzie Perdue, Moneta, Lena Woody, South Gate, Mich.; four brothers, Johnnie Mitchell, Wirtz, Robert Mitchell, Rustburg, Henry Mitchell, Bedford, Lewis Mitchell, Moneta. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1 p.m. Thursday, February 4, with the Rev. Donald W. Eade officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
