OBIT CUSTER, CHARLES ALLEN SR.

CUSTER, Charles Allen Sr., 51, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday, February 2, 1993 in the Lewis-Gale Hospital. His residence was 1275 Radford Street. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Boyd Custer; one son, Charles A. Custer Jr., Radford; his mother, Frances Pettus, Christiansburg; one brother, Randall Custer, Christiansburg; three stepsons, Mike Hawley, Dale Hawley and P.J. Adkins, all of Christiansburg; a stepdaughter, Tracy Caldwell, Shawsville; two granddaughters, Laura Ann and Mary Beth Custer, both of Radford; four stepgrandsons, Jeff and John Hawley, Ricky Caldwell Jr. and Dakota Martin, all of Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 5, from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Vernon D. Miller with burial in Belmont Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Christiansburg Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Thursday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
