CRIME LINE

An armed robbery in Northeast Roanoke is the subject of this month's Crime Line.

On Nov. 4, 1992, at 9:39 p.m., the Embassy Carpet Shop, at 2615 Orange Ave. N.E., was robbed. The robber, described as being about 30 years old, 6 feet tall, with light-brown hair, broke out a window with a baseball bat, entered the building, struck the employee with the bat and took a small amount of cash.

Rewards of up to $1,000 are being offered for information that leads to arrest and indictment in connection with this and other crimes. Anyone with information may call 344-8500 and give the information anonymously. The caller is given a number that is used for identification and need not give a name.
