VA. TO OPEN SIGNUPS FOR STATE PARKS
Reservations for cabins and campsites at Virginia state parks will be accepted beginning this month.Reservations for cabins open Wednesday; for campsites Feb. 16.
They can be made by calling TicketMaster at (804) 490-3939, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., weekdays; in person at the Department of Conservation and Recreation's state park office in Richmond, 10 a.m.-4 p.m weekdays; or by mail to TicketMaster, P.O. Box 62346, Virginia Beach 23466.
Payment for telephone registrations must be made by MasterCard or Visa.
Cash, check or credit cards will be accepted at the department's Richmond office. A money order or certified check is required for mail-in reservations.
There is a $6 charge for reservations made in person and an $8 charge for mail-in or telephone reservations.
Reservations also can be made at state parks when they begin their camping season.
The season for Claytor Lake State Park in Pulaski County will begin on April 30.
