OBIT-SHAFER, MARION PAINTER

SHAFER, Marion Painter, 72, of Natural Bridge, died Wednesday, February 3, 1993. Survivors include her husband, John B. Shafer; son and daughter-in-law, Jay M. and Debbie Shafer; grandson, Cody J. Shafer, all of Natural Bridge; sisters, Christie Bowers, Portsmouth, Carnelle Rock, Penhook, and Margaret Gilmer, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; brothers, Adrian Painter, Emory, and Dalton Painter, Buena Vista; several nieces and nephews, and close friends; Katherine Petty and Frances Painter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 1993 at 2:30 p.m. in Cedar Bluff Baptist Church with Dr. W. L. Crane officiating. Interment will follow in Roaring Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cedar Bluff Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
