OBIT-JACKSON, FOREST

JACKSON, Forest, 90, of Hillsville, passed away Thursday, February 4, 1993 at Emerald Health Care in Jefferson, N.C. He was born October 3, 1902 in Carroll County, Va., a son of the late William Cana Jackson and Etta Cox Jackson. He was a retired manager of Southern States, Carroll County Co-Op, Inc., of Hillsville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Ruth Jackson. Mr. Jackson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Loraine and Rush T. Bowman, Hillsville; three grandchildren, Danny Bowman, Rhonda Moore, B. J. Bowman; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Bowman, Nicole Hancock, Justin Bowman, and Elesha Bowman; a sister, Manda Ort, Dover, Pa. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 1993 at the Laurel Fork Primitive Baptist Church with the Elder Corbin Vass and Elder Joe H. McGrady officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville.
