DAVIS, Geneva J., 79, of Washington, Maine, formerly of Rugby and Marion,
Va., died Wednesday, February 3, 1993. She was born April 10, 1913 in Rugby,
and was the daughter of Charles and Floy Bell Richardson. She attended schools
in Grayson County, she was a homemaker and at times worked for a Salem
department store. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. She was
the widow of the late Leroy M. Davis, who died in 1979. Survivors include four
sons, James Lee Davis, Elkhart, Ind., Ernest J. Davis, Fla., Robert N. Davis,
Princeton, W.Va., Dannie D. Davis, Washington, Maine; one daughter, Mrs.
Vernon (Rosalie) Roark, Miami, Fla.; three brothers, Herbert Perkins, Marion;
Charles Perkins, Elkton, Md., Robert Perkins, Westfield, N.J.; three sisters,
Zollie Flower, Lillian Flower, Trixie Winters, all of Marion. Funeral services
will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Chapel, Salem.
Burial will follow the service at East Hill Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home.
