WILLIS WHITE'S CENSURE WAS AN INSULT

To the Executive Board of the Virginia High School League:

I would like to know how you could possibly have the audacity to make such callous and inappropriate comments about coach Willis White of Salem High School. It is absolutely ridiculous that you would censure coach White while letting coach Dennis Vaught go scot free with a slap on the wrist.

Coach White has always been an inspiration to the youth of Salem, as well as to the adult population of our city. He would be appaled at winning a ball game under any conditions less than honorable and would not dream of cheating for his or the team's glorification.

Coach Vaught of Richlands should be banished from ever coaching high school sports anywhere in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has blatantly disregarded the rules set up by the VHSL as well as the rules of good sportsmanship. He has repeatedly been involved in racial slurs against opposing teams. Is this the type of man Virginia's schools need to mold her youth? I say NO!

By the decision handed down in this matter by the VHSL, all citizens and sports fans throughout the Commonwealth should demand the resignation of the entire board - especially Paul Stapleton, who is totally out of touch with reality - because they all seem to be inadequate in exercising good judgement.
