THE HOGWASH ABOUT HUNTERS
IN RESPONSE to Carla Bennett's letter to the editor Jan. 28, "Wildlife sanctuaries now killing fields":It's amazing the stories People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals will tell about something they know nothing about.
Ms. Bennett would like the public to think that all hunters are a bunch of nuts with semiautomatic rifles who kill every animal in sight. This is hogwash, and she knows it! Hunters can tell you that there are many trips to the woods when no game is taken, but just to be in the woods is enjoyment enough.
She can bad-mouth hunters. But one thing is for sure: It is the hunters who put out the money for the wildlife we all enjoy. MIKE BARE NATURAL BRIDGE STATION
