LIGHT SENTENCE INVITES MARIJUANA DEALERS
In the Jan. 26 New River Current, I read that David Andrew Spangler was sentenced to a big 90 days plus a $500 fine for possessing 10 pounds of marijuana. The fine was paid with the $500 they got during the raid. This should raise the green flag to every dope dealer in the United States to come to Montgomery County. If you get caught, just say it's for personal use, even though some of it is weighed and packaged. What happened to repossessing or taking their property for the violation?
It seems the citizens of Montgomery County need to look into the justice system.\ Jerry Simms\ Blacksburg
