BLESSARD-GUTHRIE
Deirdre Sue Guthrie and FrankieAustin Blessard were united in marriage January 30, 1993, at Bethel Baptist Church in Salem, Virginia, with Reverend R. Stuart Carlton officiating. Thereception was held in the churchfellowship hall.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Guthrie, Sr. of Salem. She was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She is agraduate of Glenvar High School and was employed at Richfield Pharmacy. Cathy R. Botts, cousin of the bride, served as her matron of honor. Victoria Cundiff, friend of the bride, was flowergirl.
Mr. Blessard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Blessard of Salem. He is agraduate of Glenvar High School and is serving in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Shaw AFB in South Carolina. WesleyBlessard, brother of the groom, was best man. Justin R. Botts, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.
Jesse Blessard, cousin of the groom; and Robert L. Guthrie, Jr., brother of the bride; served as ushers.
After a wedding trip to Charleston, South Carolina, the couple will reside in Columbia, South Carolina.
