LANCASTER-PLEASANTS
Suzanne Renee Pleasants of Salem, became the bride of Ted EldridgeLancaster of Salem, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Roanoke on June 7, 1992, with Pastor Jim Richardsofficiating. A reception followed givenby family and friends.The bride is the daughter of Wilbur and Shirley Pleasants of Salem, and the granddaughter of Irene Pleasants ofCovington, Tennessee. The parents of the bridegroom are Ronald and DonnaLancaster, and grandmothers are Frances Wade and Rachel Lancaster, all of Salem.
Escorted by her father, the bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a gown of white shantung, styled with fitted bodice featuring alencon lace. The cathedral train was heavily beaded with white sequins and pearls.
She carried a cascading bouquet,designed and made by her sister, Deborah Rardin.
The bride's sister, Deborah Rardin of Salem, was matron of honor, and Crystal Cooper of Richmond, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Teresa Chambers,sister of bridegroom; and ElizabethPleasants, sister of bride, who also served as flowergirl, both of Salem.
The bridegroom's father served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Todd Robertson and Reginald and Ronald Hall. John Rardin, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer. All are from Salem.
The bride is a 1991 graduate ofNorthside High School. She attends V.W.C.C.
The bridegroom is a 1985 graduate of Salem High School. He attended V.W.C.C. and is employed by Roanoke GasCompany.
Following a wedding trip to Florida, the couple is making their home in Salem.
