59 EVENTS TO AIR ON WSLC
WSLC Radio (610 AM, Roanoke) returns this year as the NASCAR broadcast outlet in the Roanoke Valley.
A schedule of 59 events from the Winston Cup and Grand National schedules begins today at noon with the Busch Clash and ARCA 200 broadcasts from Daytona International Speedway.
WSLC, an affiliate of the Motor Racing and Performance Racing networks, will add to its 1992 auto racing coverage with special "Speed Week" broadcasts this week.
The regular "NASCAR Live" call-in show with host Eli Gold will air Tuesday at 7 p.m., and a NASCAR Live special will air at the same hour Thursday, with defending Daytona 500 champion Davey Allison as Gold's guest.
This Monday through Friday, the "Ken Squier Show" will air live from Daytona at 10 p.m., a one-hour talk show. Squier's guests during the week will include Alan Kulwicki, Darrell Waltrip, Bobby Allison, Richard Petty, Ken Schrader and Rusty Wallace.
The station also will air the one-hour "Pit Road Preview" before 14 major Winston Cup events. - Staff report
