COMMUNICATION TOPIC FOR E&H HISTORY DAY
The theme for National History Day at Emory & Henry College this year will be communication in history - covering such topics as the changing role of communications technology, the historical impact of inventions like the telephone or television, and how communication is used to influence political or social change.Emory & Henry will host History Day competition April 24 for schools from Southwest Virginia and Northeastern Tennessee. Winners will go to the state level competition May 15 at the University of Virginia. The national competition is June 13-17 at the University of Maryland.
Teachers and students can get fliers on the program and registration forms from Eugene L. Rasor, professor of history at Emory & Henry.
