CAVE SPRING GIRLS WIN LYNCHBURG MEET

The Cave Spring girls finished first and the boys fourth at the Lynchburg Invitational swim meet at Randolph-Macon Woman's College.

The 10-team meet featured teams from Cave Spring, Blacksburg, Patrick Henry, Pulaski County and North Cross.

Cave Spring's girls outpointed runner-up E.C. Glass 117-102. E.C. Glass won the boys' portion of the meet with 126 points. Charlottesville was second with 110.

Brian Manning of Pulaski County was a double winner in the boys' meet, finishing first in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. His sister, Karen, was first in the 500 freestyle and second in the 200 freestyle.
