ROANOKERS WIN TENNESSEE TOURNEY

Two Roanoke soccer teams won their divisional championships at the Kingsport, Tenn., Indoor Tournament.

The Roanoke Stars girls' under-17 team outscored four other teams 25-7 for the win. Goalie Heather Krause led the defense and, offensively, the four Moores - Heather, Amy, Carrie and Andee - led the way.

The Roanoke Star White boys' under-12 soccer team also won four matches for their divisional championship. Led on defense by Kirk Zogel, the team outscored opponents 27-5. Scoring was equally balanced among Adam Childers, Chris Genheimer, Andy Leffler, Landon Moore, Aaron Pellitt and Logan Self.
