OBIT GARMAN, MYRTLE AKER
GARMAN, Myrtle Aker, 98, of 802 Clearwater Ave., Roanoke, passed away,
Friday, February 5, 1993. She was the widow of Levi J. Garman, a farmer in the
Hollins area of Roanoke County, and was a member of Patterson Memorial Grace
Brethren Church. Survivors include a son, Reginald E. Garman, Roanoke; and one
daughter and son-in-law, Jean G. and Jack Lawhorn, with whom she lived in
recent years. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Flanders G. Hinchee
of Manassas, David P. Garman of Montgomery, Ala., Mark E. Lawhorn of Roanoke,
Jennifer A. Lawhorn of Charlottesville, Elizabeth S. Lawhorn of Roanoke; and a
foster son, Wade Garman of Fincastle. Funeral services will be conducted from
Oakey's North Chapel 3 p.m. Monday, February 8, 1993, with the Rev. Donald E.
Eshelman and the Rev. Ron E. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar
Lawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends and celebrate Mrs. Garman's
life at Oakey's North Chapel on Sunday from noon until 8 p.m.
