VMI ATHLETES WIN 2 EVENTS IN TRACK MEET

VMI athletes finished first in the long jump and the 200-meter dash at the 42nd annual VMI Winter Relays held Saturday at Cormack Field House in Lexington.

Damon Richardson won the long jump with a leap of 23 feet, 6 inches, more than 2 inches longer than the nearest competitor. Esteban Frost of the Keydets was first in the 200-meter dash in 22.2 seconds. Holm Ankoma-Sey of VMI finished third.

Other top finishers for the Keydets included a second place by Fritz Ligday in the 35-pound weight and second place in the shot put by Frank Boehling.
