ROANOKE WOMAN SETS HALF-MARATHON RECORD
Susan Given of Roanoke won the women's masters division of the Pimlico- Hampton Half Marathon at Hampton in a record time. Given, 40, a food broker, covered the course in 1 hour, 24 minutes, breaking the record by more than three minutes.
\ Pocoshock edged the Blue Ridge Panthers White team 5-4 in overtime to claim the under-15 championship of the St. Valentine's Indoor Classic soccer tournament Sunday in Greensboro, N.C. The Panthers Purple team finished third in the competition which included 10 teams from three states.
