SMALL-BUSINESS SEMINARS SCHEDULED

Two small business seminars have been scheduled for this month by the New River Valley Small-Business Development Center and other agencies.

Basic bookkeeping and record-keeping will be covered at a seminar Feb. 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Pulaski Community Hospital Education Building. The leader will be Al Marsh, a certified public accountant.

Preparing for computerization is the topic for a Feb. 23 seminar at the New River Valley Mall in Christiansburg from 6 to 9 p.m., headed by accountant Paul Weeks.

Registrations will be 30 minutes before each workshop. Fees for each workshop are $15 for members of chambers of commerce and $20 for others. Further information is available by calling David Shanks at 231-4004.

Other sponsors include the U.S. Small Business Administration, Virginia Department of Economic Development, New River Valley Chamber Coalition, New River Community College and chambers of commerce in the New River Valley.
