Best-selling author John Grisham says he didn't save his best for last.Grisham, whose fourth novel, "The Client," is scheduled for release March 3, said none of his books will ever live up to his first novel, "A Time To Kill."
"It was the best book I have ever written or ever will write," Grisham said of the book inspired by a rape trial he had followed while practicing law. "My novels have gotten worse as I've gone along because I started with my best."
"A Time To Kill" had a first run of only 5,000 copies, but was reprinted after the success of his second book, "The Firm," which is being made into feature film by director Sydney Pollack and starring Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman.
