NEW RIVER VALLEY LITERACY CHALLENGE SET FOR SUNDAY THROUGH FEB. 20

Literacy Volunteers of America of the New River Valley is planning its 1993 New River Valley Literacy Challenge for Sunday through Feb. 20.

The challenge is this: Each group, club or family is asked to choose one or more designated readers to represent them. The remaining members are challenged to find the monetary support for the readers. Readers are asked to commit one or more hours to reading.

The reading can be done anywhere - a public library, a nursing home or with young children. Literacy Volunteers of America encourages readers to share their stories with others. For further information, call 382-7262.
