MORRISON, FOREMAN BOUT LIKELY

Tommy Morrison likely will fight George Foreman in a heavyweight bout May 21 in Atlantic City, N.J., Morrison's co-manager said Tuesday.

John Brown, the co-manager, said details about the date and site will be settled soon. The late May date gives Morrison more than four months between bouts. He beat Carl Williams on an eighth-round technical knockout Jan. 16.

"If that is in concrete, then we have to make a decision whether to have Tommy fight [a tune-up bout] in late March," Brown said. "Hopefully, in the next week everything is set."

The Foreman-Morrison fight originally was scheduled for April 16 in Las Vegas, but promoter Bob Arum postponed the bout Monday at Foreman's request.

Morrison (35-1) is scheduled to begin training on Monday at VMI in Lexington, Va.
