Dibrell Brothers

Dibrell Brothers Inc., a Danville tobacco processor and importer and exporter of fresh flowers, Wednesday reported a 32.5 percent increase in net income to $9.5 million, or 71 cents per share, in its second quarter, compared to $7.2 million, or 54 cents, in the previous year's quarter.

For six months, net income before the cumulative effect of two accounting changes rose 34.9 percent to $18 million, or $1.35 per share, from $13.4 million, or $1.01 per share, in the year-earlier period.
