STUDENTS PLAN FAST AS SOMALI FUND-RAISER
Twelve Virginia Intermont College students and staff members will fast for 30 hours to raise money for Somalian famine relief.The fast will be conducted Feb. 20-21 by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in conjunction with a national effort by the World Vision famine relief organization.
Participants are seeking sponsors. All funds collected will go toward World Vision's emergency relief and long-term development fund.
The participants are Angela Vincent, Margaret Gibson, Darrell Curry, Jill Tramel, Tammy Walker, Candice Buchanan, Jonathan Hounshell, Myra Goza, Tammy Sandy, Kyla Quillin, Charles Blount and Donna Miller.
