ROANOKE WOMAN CLAIMS SHE WAS RAPED BY HUSBAND

A 25-year-old woman said she was raped by her husband after she refused to have sex with him because of his drug use and extramarital affairs.

The woman told Roanoke police that her husband forced her to have sexual relations in their Hunt Avenue Northwest apartment Wednesday shortly before 11 a.m.

The woman's identity and the identity of her husband were not released because of the nature of the crime.

She obtained a sexual assault warrant against her husband, police said. No arrest had been made by Wednesday afternoon.
