OBIT BASHAM, EVELYN VIRGINIA

BASHAM, Evelyn Virginia, 87, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, February 9, 1993 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born April 8, 1905 in Franklin County, the daughter of the late James Ollen and Nannie Minnix Basham and was the last surviving member of her family. Surviving are two nephews, Larry Basham, Conroe, Texas; and Gary Basham, Roanoke. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday by Rev. James Opetaia-Williamson at Mountain View Memorial Park, Franklin County, and family will receive friends Thursday at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
