OBIT TINGLE, WOODROW W.

TINGLE, Woodrow W. 78, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, February 10, 1993. Survivors include his wife, Ina Patton Tingle; sister, Sallie T. Whitehurst, Raleigh, N.C.; several nieces and nephews in N.C. He was a member of North Roanoke Baptist Church and was a retired professor of Geology, having taught at Clemson University and the University of North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at North Roanoke Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 13, with the Rev. Dr. Darryl Crim officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Roanoke Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel.
