OBIT TURNER, GEORGE HARDEN

TURNER, George Harden, 74, of Rocky Mount, died Tuesday, February 9, 1993 at Eldercare Nursing Home. He was born in Franklin County, Virginia on July 26, 1918 to the late Flem Lee Turner and Maggie Jarrett Turner. He was retired from Blue Ridge Talc Co. with over 15 years service in security. He was survived by two sisters: Mary T. Tatum and Martha T. Ingram, both of Henry, Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, 3 p.m. at Collins Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wilson Conwell and Rev. Billy Tatum officiating. Interment will be in Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Collins Funeral Services in Bassett are in charge of the arrangements.
