OBIT HARRIS, LYNWOOD L., ("PEE-WEE")
HARRIS, Lynwood L., ("Pee-Wee"), 63, 1st block of Hedge Lane, Portsmouth,
died on February 10, 1993 at his residence. He was a native of Roanoke, Va. He
was the husband of Patricia Bandy Harris. He retired as a salesman from Pet
Dairy. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Portsmouth and
was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. In addition to his wife, he
is survived by two daughters, Donna L. Brady, Waycross, Ga., Melinda Sue
Vencill, Roanoke, Va.; one son, Timothy L. Harris, USAF, Hampton, Va.; one
stepdaughter, Deborah Sue Quast, Newport News, Va.; one stepson, Stephen Brian
Wood, Roanoke, Va.; one sister, Vivian Barton, Roanoke, Va.; one brother,
Edgar P. Harris, Warren, Rhode Island; seven grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 13,
at noon in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, Va. The family will receive friends
at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Thursday evening from
7 to 8 and then the body will be shipped to the Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton
for visitation on Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be
made to the American Cancer Society.
