THE BIG JOLT IS A BIG JOKE

LET'S GIVE credit to whom credit is due - "Jolt said to put Earth into spin," declare astronomer Luke Dones (NASA Ames Research Center, California) and Professor Scott Tremaine (University of Toronto) in the Associated Press article on Jan. 8 in the Roanoke Times & World-News.

These two (so-called) experts claim that about 4.5 billion years ago a large space body hit Earth, accidentally causing the Earth to spin toward the sun.

Their theory is not logical, especially since the Earth's rotation places the land masses in the path of the sun, allowing for civilization to maintain warmth and livelihood. They do not explain how the Earth tilts ever so slowly north and south to establish the four seasons. Imagine, if the Earth tilted too far north or south, mankind would either freeze or burn to death. The Earth was created and designed in minute calibrated detail, in form and motion to serve mankind, giving us night and day, the four seasons, time and direction.

I contend that the universe was also created and placed in existence by divine order so calculated that it is beyond human comprehension and eliminates all doubt of its origin.

Scientists, astrologers and evolutionists will not admit God as Creator, who must surely laugh at the lunacy of these theorists. I also had a good laugh. OTIS E. CURD MONTVALE
