WALLACE'S SHOT AT BUZZER WINS IT FOR COVINGTON
Van Wallace scored at the buzzer to give Covington a 75-74 victory over Floyd County in non-district boys' basketball Thursday night.Floyd County (11-5) had rallied to take a 74-73 lead on a 3-pointer by Phillip Marshall with 11 seconds left.
Wallace led the way for the Cougars with 24 points. Chuck Morris added 20 and Keeno Jones had 19. Jason Light led Floyd with 26 points and 17 rebounds. Marshall added 24. \

HOT SPRINGS - The Chargers (8-10 overall, 4-5 league) took control with a 43-27 first half and cruised to a Pioneer District victory over the Rams (2-18, 0-10).
Eleven of the 13 Bath County players scored. Matt Sherrard led with 16 points, Kris Phillips had 14, Billy Thomas added 13 and Michael Edwards had 12. For Highland County, guard Chris Schill had a game-high 29 points, including five 3-point goals. \
