VIRGINIA TECH'S DANCE TEAM WILL COMPETE FOR TITLE
Virginia Tech's dance team, the HighTechs, placed second in a preliminary contest and will compete against nine other finalists for the national championship April 15-19 in San Diego. North Carolina was first in the preliminary contest, sponsored by the Universal Dance Association. The finals will be shown by ESPN.
\ In Lynchburg, North Cross' Emily Cook scored 13 points and had 12 rebounds, but the Raiders were no match for Holy Cross, which won the Blue Ridge Conference girls' game 42-21. The Gaels are 10-8 overall and 6-4 in the league; North Cross is 5-12 and 1-9. \
