THE TIPOFF

SLEDGE-A-MATIC: Gallagher, a wildly inventive comedian you may have seen on the Smothers Brothers TV show a few years ago, will perform Sunday night at 8 at the Roanoke Civic Center auditorium.

They run from $16.50 to $22.50, available at the box office or at TicketMaster locations.\ \ PRETTY SLICK: The Ice Capades, that mingling of music, color and physical prowess, will fill the Roanoke Civic Center coliseum Wednesday through Feb. 21. The box office number is 981-1201. \ CLASSICAL SAX: The Chamber Orchestra of Southwest Virginia will present concerts Saturday night at 8 and Sunday afternoon at 3 in the Squires Recital Salon of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
