PASTORAL AID

U.S. Roman Catholics in 1992 gave $4,058,328 to help the church in Latin America. Since 1966, annual collections for the Latin American church have totalled $59.5 million, says the U.S. Catholic Conference.

The 1992 aid went to 270 pastoral projects, including training of men and women religious, seminarians and permanent deacons, lay leadership training, evangelization, religious education and research.
