VIRGINIA TECH OFFERS MARKETING HELP TO BUSINESSES, NON-PROFIT GROUPS
If you need help marketing your business or non-profit organization, Virginia Tech marketing professor Joe Sirgy and his students can help you put together a comprehensive marketing plan at no charge.Senior students in Sirgy's strategic marketing class work in teams supervised by the professor. Each team is assigned an organization or sponsor. The students do market research and analysis, developing customer group profiles and determining the nature of the competition and the overall business environment.
At the end of the semester, the students make a formal presentation of their findings to the organizations' representatives.
Sirgy, who has taught the course for 10 years, is looking for additional sponsors for this semester. Interested organizations should call him as soon as possible at 231-5110.
