SIMMONS-BRYANT

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond A. Simmons have announced the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Simmons, to James W. Bryant, son of Mr. Howard T. Bryant and the late Ruby H. Bryant. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School, attended Roanoke Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing, and graduated cum laude from Virginia Western College. She is employed by Dominion Bankshares/First Union Mortgage Corporation. He is a graduate of Northside High School and Arnold R. Burton Vocational/Technical School, attended Virginia Western Community College, and is employed by Dewar Properties. A May wedding is planned.
