WOMEN'S CENTER OFFERS SPRING WORKSHOP SERIES
The Women's Resource Center at Virginia Intermont College has scheduled several workshops during the spring semester to address topics of concern to women.A workshop on assertiveness will be held at 7 p.m. on Feb. 25 in the Fine Arts Center, with Talmage Dobbins, director of student support facilities at the college, as facilitator.
A six-session workshop on building self-esteem through art will be offered at 7 p.m. Tuesdays from March 9 to April 13 with Byrd Tetzlaff as instructor.
A career development workshop aimed at helping women locate jobs is set for 6:30 p.m. on March 17. Bobbie Sturgill, career development coordinator at Virginia Intermont, will offer suggestions on cover letters, resumes and interviewing.
Budgeting time more effectively will be discussed at 7 p.m. on April 20 with Erica Crockett, Women's Center intern, as facilitator.
