BYRD BLASTS GLENVAR

William Byrd outscored Glenvar 26-6 in the third quarter to seize control of a non-district boys' basketball game and went on to win 75-51 Saturday. David Robertson had 23 points and Donald Childress 18 for William Byrd (12-5).

\ \ Salem 65, Radford 42: In Radford, Mark Byington scored 17 points and Josh Pugh added 16 as the Spartans (13-3) defeated the Highlanders in a non-district game. Garrett Jones scored 17 points and Chuck Hubbard had 14 to lead Radford (7-12).

\ Bath County 56, Craig County 33: In Hot Springs, Craig Phillips had 14 points as the Chargers (9-10, 5-5) knocked off the Rockets in a Pioneer District game. Robbie Huffman had 12 points to lead Craig County (8-10, 2-8). \

Girls

North Cross 34, Chatham Hall 32: Emily Cook scored all of her 13 points in the second half as the Raiders slipped past Chatham Hall in a non-district game. The Cougars led 18-10 at halftime but Cook rallied the Raiders in the second half. Heather Perry grabbed eight rebounds as North Cross (6-13). \
