OBIT HOLLAR, OSCAR EUGENE

HOLLAR, Oscar Eugene, 72, of 5121 Woodbury St., N.W., Roanoke, died Saturday, February 13, 1993. He was a retired driver for Associated Transport and retired from the maintenance dept. of Hollins College. He was predeceased by one daughter, Donna Marie Hollar. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle J. Hollar; four sons, Carson L. Hollar, Salem, Bruce A. Hollar, Roanoke, Michael E. Hollar, Salem, Larry D. Hollar, Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Carolyn Wilkerson, Charlottesville, Shirley F. Nelms, Dallas, Texas, Mary C. Meador, Vinton; six grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Hollar, New Mexico, Kenneth Hollar, Hickory, N.C.; five sisters, Leona Young, Great Falls, Montana, Sylvia Johnson, Houston, Texas, Marnie Jackson, Orlando, Fla., Faye Ashley, Hudson, N.C., Mary K. Gentry, Granit Falls, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 1 p.m. Monday, February 15 with the Rev. Kelly Dampeer officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
