OBIT MARTIN, HUGH LONGWORTH SR.

MARTIN, Hugh Longworth Sr., 86, of Troutville, died Friday, February 12, 1993. Mr. Martin was retired from Norfolk & Western Railway, and was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine D. Martin. Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Hugh L. Martin Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, William R. and Virginia M. Martin of Glen Allen, Va.; his daughters and son-in-law, Frances M. Woody of Roanoke, Catherine M. and Raymond H. Jones of Troutville; seven grandchildren, David Woody of Lynchburg, Cathy Powers of Martinsville, Judy Dickson of Bristol, Tenn., Tina Martin and Cindy Martin, both of Glen Allen, Kimberly Sandefur and Michael Martin, both of San Antonio, Texas; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Col. (Ret.) William A. Martin, Roanoke; a sister, Margaret (Cissie) Bradley, Roanoke; and a sister-in-law, Virginia B. Martin, Roanoke. A graveside service will be conducted at Evergreen Burial Park 11 a.m. Monday, February 15, 1993, with the Rev. Phillip Sims officiating. The family will receive friends at Lotz Roanoke Chapel from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday.
