OBIT WOOD, CATHERINE EUBANK

WOOD, Catherine Eubank, 78, of Route 5, Bedford, died Saturday, February 13, 1993 in a Lynchburg Hospital. She was born in Bedford County on October 17, 1914, daughter of the late Allie A. Eubank and Mamie Wheat Eubank. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Ralph L. Wood; two sons, Gary L. Wood, and Larry L. Wood; a brother, T. Hampton Eubank, all of Bedford; also two grandchildren, and two stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Pat B. Tony and the Rev. Lewis E. Carson officiating. Burial in Virginia Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to either the Salem United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Bedford Life Saving Crew. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home.
